And I don’t mean genre.
I mean print or ebook.
Or do you prefer to listen to your stories?
Does it make a difference?
Personally, I love a good print book. There’s something about the feel of the cover and the pages, the smell of the ink as you open it up for the first time.
But when I was waiting for cataract surgery, I couldn’t read a print book. My e-reader was wonderful, in that I could change the font size and the brightness so I could read.
Another alternative was audio books, but they can be expensive, if you read as much as I do. For those who are greatly vision impaired or blind, it is an option, however. They can still get into a good story, even if they can’t “read” it.
So why do some folks out there choose to shame those who don’t read the way they do? It doesn’t really matter, does it? You do your thing, and allow others the same privilege. It doesn’t hurt you either way.
As an author, I don’t care which version of my books you buy, as long as you’re buying! And I do have sales for those who are on a limited budget.
Be kind. Be generous. And be grateful for the opportunity to read. So many don’t have this choice.
