Some days it is. Some days, not so much. It is Georgia after all. The seasons change back and forth for a while before the settle in.
Like about a week and a half ago, we had high temperatures for several days, up in the high 70’s and into the 80’s. We let the firewood on the porch run out because, well, we wouldn’t need a fire any more. Right?
Wrong. About five days ago, I built a fire in the living room to take off the chill. For two days, the temperatures were in the low 60’s with rain and drizzle.
Today? We’re back into the 70’s and outdoors is like a sauna. My poor dog doesn’t know whether to grow fur and shed. And the chickens are confused as well.
If I only had a wand, or could shape the weather like Richard Lemarnier…
But what about books?
What are you reading tonight?
I like to read murder mysteries and have been drawn into a novella series, which I’m binge reading. If this sounds like something you’d like, check out the Widow’s Island series on Amazon.
As far as writing, Master of the Fleet has a new cover. I liked the old one, but didn’t think it portrayed the story very well. Let me know what you think about the new one!
Under Mellie Miller, I’ve been working on a sequel for Gambler’s Folly and my editor is working on a sequel to Esperance.
And if I can get my computer to cooperate, I’m going to publish a shorter story on Smashwords–Moonlight and Shadows. Another shifter book, I think you’ll like it. And I may decide to take the premise and make another Gambler’s Folly out of it later. When I get caught up on everything else.
Next up from Sultonna is Whiskey Jug Genie. After that, I hope to have Lady Calloway in to the editor.
So have a wonderful weekend and share what you’re reading with me!
And don’t forget,
