Paranormal Fantasy Romance Novels

A Writer’s Frustration

There are days when I just want to give up.

No not writing itself.

The whole trying to find people who will give what you wrote a chance.

It doesn’t seem to matter what I price them at, unelss they’re free. Or how much I spend for other people to “promote” them for me, what my keywords are, or the genres I choose on Amazon.

I realize writing cross-genre books can be tricky to define. And that’s what mine are. Cross-genre. And the people I do hear from tell me that’s what they love about them. The depth and multi-layering of the story.

Take Lady Calloway for instance. It combines fantasy, romance, church rule over society, alternate historical setting, paranormal aspects, psychic powers, duty vs. love conflict, church vs. personal freedom, and a bit of folkore.

How do you put all of that in any description that makes sense?

I have had more than one person “optimize” my Amazon listings, with no visible increase in sales or pages read.

So, what should I do? Forget about publishing altogether? Continue publishing and hope for the best?

Or maybe give up the whole thing as a bad job and go back to knitting in my rocking chair?

Whatever I do, remember one thing,

Always Look For the Magic…
