Paranormal Fantasy Romance Novels

How Do You Choose?

Do you choose your book by the cover art? Maybe you look at the reviews. Or you might do a search online for a particular type of book. Is the price reasonable for the size of the book?

How do you decide?

That’s my question today. How do you choose and then decide whether to give a book a try. Do you look for a cover the grabs your attention? Maybe the title is intriguing.

No, I really want to know.

Take a look at the books I have for sale. Why would you either choose one of them or decide against them?

I’ve had several wonderful reviews and emails which seem to indicate the books are well written, in popular tropes and categories, but sales are almost non-existent. People have told me they love the covers.

So, I’m trying to understand what I’m doing wrong. Or what am I missing?

Yes, I could pay someone to help with promotions. But the times I’ve done that haven’t really helped any at all. I’ve just thrown money into the wind.

So what do I write?

Most of my books are fantasies and deal with some sort of magic or the paranormal. Lady Calloway and Master of the Fleet are fantasy romances set in alternate realities.

Whiskey Jug Genie is a humorous tale of a London apothecary owner who accidentally brings home a magical being in an old jug. 200 years out of touch with the world, the genie is cursed and tied to the jug, making life difficult for our shop owner.

And last, Moonlight and Shadows, a paranormal short story taking place in the mountains of the American West.

You can also find my books on Amazon

I’ll have a sale again in a few weeks. Some of my books will be free. Others will be discounted.

But I would love some feedback on why my books are overlooked so often. Are they difficult to find in a search?

Anyway, that’s enough ranting for one day.

Happy reading everyone.

And remember,

Always Look For the Magic…
